The Wine

Chateau Cheval Blanc is owned by LVMH. Historically it held pole position in Saint-Émilion along with Ausone in terms of the classification. To collectors it has always remained one of the top wines of the world. Interestingly for Saint-Émilion, it has a significant proportion of Cabernet Franc, adding fragrant perfume to the Merlot and tiny splash of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is made in their state-of-the-art cellar and matured for 2+ years before bottling. I adore this wine, the epitome of class, elegance and finesse.
