Storage, Insurance, and Shipping

Here you will find information on storage, insurance, shipping, and authentication of your wine.

Storage location

London City Bond (LCB) in England is the premier warehouse in the world for storing fine wines. The warehouse facility contains over £2 billion worth of fine wines. Wines can be stored “in-bond” meaning the tax has not been paid. This enables you to re-sell the wine at attractive prices. You can visit and inspect your wine by appointment.

Their state-of-the-art facilities offer unparalleled security measures, including 24/7 surveillance and advanced alarm systems.

Storage Conditions

Your fine wine collection is stored under optimal conditions. The warehouse is temperature-controlled, humidity-controlled, overseen by cameras, fire alarms, and security systems.

Storage & Insurance Fees

We provide complimentary storage and insurance for the first three months after purchase.

Following this period, London City Bond charges a monthly fee of $2 USD per storage unit (a unit may be a half case, full case, etc.), along with insurance costs of $0.50 USD per $1,000 USD of the stored value and a monthly policy fee of $21 USD.

The storage and insurance fees are charged on a quarterly basis and payable via Credit Card.

Shipping

If you wish to have your order, or a portion of it, delivered, please provide us with your shipping address.

You may decide to have your wine delivered at any time after your purchase.

Once we receive your delivery request, Connoisseur Logistics—experts in worldwide fine wine shipping—will provide an accurate quote. You can then coordinate the delivery directly with them.

Authentication

When your wine arrives at London City Bond it is inspected by the Liv-Ex authenticator. The wine undergoes a rigorous examination by certified experts who are trained in fine wine authentication.

In addition, Fine Vintage offers additional authentication services should you need secondary verification by Charles Curtis MW, a certified appraiser by the Appraiser's Association of America.
