Colin Gent MW

Colin grew up in England. After graduating from Oxford University he worked in the fine wine trade in London before moving to Bordeaux to join the management team of a major negociant, Europvin. Throughout this time, he has developed an extensive network and strong relationships with the Grands Crus Classés.

Colin is also an expert on the classic Spanish wines and Port. He passed the Master of Wine in 2003, with the prestigious award for best paper in the Business of Wine. He is a lead lecturer in the Wine Business Masters programs at Kedge Business School and also teaches WSET Level 4 at WiSP Bordeaux. His wine career has taken him to all the major international wine markets.

As a local Bordeaux resident, Colin has his finger on the pulse of the market. After living in Bordeaux for 25 years he knows the people making the wines, has in-depth knowledge of the chateaux, the trends, and the opportunities in the market.
